Welcome to my new space to share all of my beloved creative pursuits! One of the most loved of all of my creative pursuits is documenting our everyday life through Project Life.
Project Life is a way to scrapbooking developed by Becky Higgins. It is a super simple solution for getting photos into an album. I have been creating Project Life albums since 2011. I use digital tools to create my albums and I am looking forward to sharing this year’s layouts here.
At the beginning of each year, I come up with a plan for that year’s album. This plan consists of deciding on the size of the album, the templates I will use, the fonts I’ll use and any other supplies that I plan to use throughout the year. I try to make as many of these at the beginning of the year as possible. That takes a lot of the decision making out of the scrapbooking process.
So let’s talk about this year’s plan…
This year I will continue to make digital project life layouts using 12×12 weekly spreads. Most weeks will use a two page layout, but I will adjust that depending on the number of photos I have for each week.
I am using the FREE design A template from Becky Higgins with square corners this year.
I set up Lightroom smart collections for each week of the year and also created PNG files with numbered weeks with the date on them for each week of the year. I am SO EXCITED that I took the time to make these for myself this year!!
I am planning to scrapbook each week’s layout/spread on Sundays and/or Mondays and post them here on Tuesdays.
I already have the first week’s spread created and I’m excited to share it in my next post.
