The layout I’m sharing today is more of an art journal style. I love playing around with digi-art journaling. It’s fun and definitely out of my comfort zone, as I’m more of a clean and simple type of scrapper.
When I’m working on an art journaling style page, I tend to look for a theme to go off of. This month’s Mixed Media Monthly main kit from the designers at The Lilypad had a theme that I loved and knew immediately that I wanted to scrap with. The theme is “This is Me (For Now)“.
I put the two word strips “Today I’m” and “Wearing My Crown” together to serve as a title and theme for this page. It has taken a lot of time and work for me to be fully accepting of who I am. Being bold enough and comfortable enough in my own skin to fully accept who I am is signified by “wearing my crown”. I added the crocheted crown element from the kit above my framed photo to additionally highlight this sentiment.
I also loved the wort art quote that says, “I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then…”. I added it into white space at the bottom of my layout and recolored it white to blend in to the background a little.
I used the template included in the collection for my photo and element placement and then piled on extra paint, sequins, and stamps.
